I was very saddened to learn of Susan´s passing. I worked with Susan as the midwife covering for the Community Charge Midwife. I have fond memories of Susan in particular the time Susan joined the St. Aidan´s retreat which I was helping the current Dean of Napier Cathedral to run. We spent the weekend at the Anglican retreat centre on the North Shore. I live in Taupo and I am unable to travel to the funeral, but would have joined in the service had there been a link.
My condolences to the family.

Rest in peace, dear Sue. May the Lord gather you into His arms as you sail into the eternal shores of heaven.
Deepest condolences to Julia and family on the loss of your beloved Aunty Sue.
Sue was a friend whom I didn't get the opportunity to meet but we developed a bond of friendship through our late friend Jo.
I wish to honour Sue for her caring and generous heart, especially when Jo was ill. An instance was, when Sue cooked up a Christmas roast dinner which Jo enjoyed, even though she could barely tolerate food by then, which happened to be Jo's last Christmas.
After Jo's passing, Sue and I continued communicating through emails, and I felt privileged to know this beautiful woman a little more, through her humility, her openess in sharing her vulnerability and her search for a deeper relationship with God. She had some challenges which she dealt with, valiantly.
What a blessing for her, bringing new life into the world as a midwife! Must have been numerous babies!
She will be sadly missed but I'm sure that she is enjoying her eternal reward, having been a good and faithful servant on this earth.
God bless you Sue.
Until we meet again.
