Elizabeth NICHOLSON Obituary

NICHOLSON, Elizabeth Diane (Liz). On February 23, 2015 peacefully at Whangarei Hospital, aged 66 years. Loved wife of the late Tom. Dearly loved mother and mother-in- law of Lisa and Darryn, Shaun and Jenelle, and Amy. Much loved Nana of Oscar, Alex, Tessa, Rachel, Orion, and Archie. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Jenny and Murray, Terry and Annette, Pat and Mary, Ngaire and Colin, Donald and the late Heather, John, Denis and the late Moyna, Margaret and Mike. Dearly loved aunty and friend to many. A service will be held in the Chapel of Morris & Morris Funerals (entrance 17 Western Hills Drive, Whau Valley), Whangarei on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 1.30pm followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations sent direct to The Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 1555, Whangarei. Special thanks to the medical teams at Whangarei Hospital and especially to the fabulous team in ward 4 for their kindness and empathy through to the end. We would also like to acknowledge the many people who have supported Liz and us during this time including the many friends who took the time to visit her often. Saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs Nicholson. I only have fond memories of my friend, Amy's mum, a lovely lady who always welcomed me into her home, made me several evening outfits and would often give me baking to take home. To Elizabeth's beautiful children and grandchildren.
I am so sorry to have lost a wonderful friend who has stayed by me for the last fifteen years or more since the day I met her at the Whangarei markets.
She will be sadly missed by many, many people whose lives she has enhanced through her friendship.
May she rest in peace, and be reunited with Tom at last.
