Elizabeth MACKY Obituary

MACKY, Elizabeth Mary. 25 January 1929 - 23 September 2023. Elizabeth died peacefully aged 94 after a short stay at Mercy Hospice, having dealt graciously with the vicissitudes of great age. Loved daughter of Sir Stephen and Lady (Mary) Allen, sister of Peter. Adored wife of the late Warwick, loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter, Rebecca and David, Josephine and Ross, and Sarah and Sefton. Dearly loved Granny of Laura, Rozzy and Jasper; Caroline and Billy; Miranda, Tom and Polly; and Great- granny to her 16 great- grandchildren. Beloved of her extended family and wide circle of friends. A service to celebrate Elizabeth's life and her incredible ability to provide the appropriate quote will be held at 1.30pm on Wednesday 27th September at St. Aidan's Church, Ascot Avenue, Remuera, followed by a wake at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Tamaki Drive, Orakei. Special thanks to Anne for your friendship; and to Tiff for filling Elizabeth's last year with joy and adventure, and for including Frankie in all the fun. The family is also grateful to the dedicated staff of Mercy Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mercy Hospice gratefully received.
