Elizabeth HICKEY Obituary

HICKEY, Elizabeth Theresa (Betty). Passed away peacefully at home in Opotiki surrounded by family on Sunday 15th December 2024, aged 99 years. Born in Rathmore, County Kerry, Ireland. Dearly loved wife of the late Tim. Loved daughter of James and Abbey Dempsey. Much loved mother and mother in law of Mary (RIP), Brendan, Kieran and Lorraine, Declan and Trudi, Cushla and Glenn, Tim, Elizabeth and Paul. Grandma to Nicola, Halford, Darcy, Jacqueline, Michael, Bryce, Christopher, Ashley, Fraser, Katie, and Sarah. Will be dearly missed by her 16 great-grandchildren. Mum is now at her home, at 11 View Road, Opotiki. Evening Prayer and recollections will be held at her home on Wednesday 18th December at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Marys Catholic Church, Kelly Street, Opotiki on Thursday 19th December at 11am followed by burial at Opotiki Cemetery, Waioweka Road, Opotiki. Livestream of the service is available from the Willetts Funeral Services website (Mobile Streaming) for those unable to attend.
