Elizabeth GRIMMER Obituary

Grimmer, Elizabeth Ailsa Grant (nee Mackie) MNZM. 31 August 1939 - 27 December 2025 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth. She passed away peacefully at the Sands Retirement Village after a short illness. Dearly loved Mum of Gaye, Shelley, Kathryn and Wayne. Mother-In-Law to Bruce and Ross. Adored grandmother to Nion, Victoria, De-ena, Jordan, Angus and Emily and a beloved Great Grandmother. She leaves a massive hole in our hearts and our lives. Mum's love, wisdom and warmth will continue to guide us every day. A friend in the community and an advocate to all. As per Elizabeth's wishes a private service has been held. Thank you to the staff of The Sands for their wonderful care.

Mike and I are so very sad to hear of Elizabeth's passing. Elizabeth was a very special best friend to my Mum Robyn and aunty Elizabeth to Maree, Diane and Michelle. So many memories of us all growing up together, camping, swimming, weddings etc. We all have a special bond that can never be broken. Praying and thinking of you all at this time. Love and blessings always Mike and Maree Hyndman

I will always have a special
place in my heart for grandma. She used to take me to all my singing lessons, piano lessons, and up north to whangarei when she was able to. She is the reason why I am who I am today because she gave me so much love continuously. I will miss you grandma.

Elizabeth was a great supporter of the Croatian Cultural Society and attended many of our folklore concerts. She was a beautiful lady who will be dearly missed.
