Elizabeth EASTMOND Obituary

EASTMOND, Elizabeth (Liz). Liz died peacefully on October 1,2025 at the Elizabeth Knox Care Home after a two month decline with a brain tumour. Liz was an art historian, gallery owner, and a very strong supporter of Palestine. Liz came from Tiverton, in the UK, to NZ in 1969 where she began lecturing in art history at the University of Auckland. She later moved to Waiheke with her son Fenner and established 'Tivoli', a bookshop/ gallery in Oneroa. There will be a memorial/ celebration of Liz's life at Waiheke in November ( date/ venue to be arranged). In lieu of flowers, donations to MSF would be appreciated.
