CHRISTENSEN, Elizabeth Mary Vernon (Liz) (formerly Briars). WRNS 57885. Passed peacefully on 10 December 2016 at Lady Allum Home, in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Selwyn and former wife of the late Len Briars. Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Philip and Zella, Leigh and Jenny, Keith, and Debbie and the late Zac. Much loved Grandmother of Jacob (USA), Brooke and Grant(USA), Lacey and Jed, Russ, Lydia (UK) and Gemma. Special Great Grandmother to Max, Marcus and Casper (USA). Loved Stepmother to Kay and Robert and Jan (USA) Born in Jersey - a very proud Channel Islander. Life Member of the Northcote Tennis Club and Life Member of the Royal NZ Naval Association. A big thank you to the staff at Lady Allum Home and the nurses and doctors at North Shore Hospital. One never to complain and always enjoying life - will be missed by all - forever in our hearts. A service will be held at St John the Baptist Anglican Church, Church St, Northcote on Wednesday 14 December at 2:00pm, followed by private cremation.
