What can one say about Edward. A true gentleman with an amazing sense of humor. He loved to entertain with his friends. Many times I had been to parties in his home in Edgecliff and his holiday home down the coast - memories I will always cherish. He loved people ... he was interesting and interested in you. He was never judgmental. Freehills seemed to pick people who were unique, different, one-off's. Edward was like a jewel in the crown. He rang me the day before he left for New Zealand and told me what friendships meant for him. He was and will be missed by many. Kerrie Boylett

Sincere condolences to the Wright family on the loss of Edward. I join in expressing what a privilege it was to have known Edward and worked with him at Freehill Hollingdale & Page. He was a wonderful lawyer and person. Edward will have been very warmly embraced by the many Freehills´ friends gone before, on his entry to Eternal Life. May the Eternal Light shine upon you, Edward.

I send my condolences to Edward´s family and friends.
I also worked with Edward at Freehills. He was a delight to work with - always optimistic, gracious, thoughtful, and with the driest of dry humour to get through any tricky situation. He was a true `gentle´ man.
Edward contributed to the life of Freehills and we were all the better for that experience.
Vale Edward!

On behalf of many Freehills colleagues who knew Edward very well , can we present our sincere condolences to the Wright and extended families
As someone who worked very closely with Edward , I knew him to be an extremely kind and honourable man who was also humourous and extremely human. We missed him a lot when he went back to NZ.
To Warwick and other family members, we hope this commentary which is nothing but praise for this exceptional soul will provide some solace .

My deepest sympathy to Edwards´s family.
He was a wonderful person & lived a very full and very interesting life, especially when he was in Japan. He made friends all over the world. I´m sad as I´ve missed contact with him, since he returned to New Zealand, it just wasn´t possible.
Yours sincerely
