I'm sorry I couldn't be there to say goodbye. Fond memories of you. You are my godfather, my second christian name is Edward. Ted, my guardian while I was alone in NZ although I admit I was at an age when I started visiting less and less. I remember the girl you tried to push me towards at the doorway when she visited.. funny as.. I was shy and innocent, but not so sure about her. Anyhow the navy changed me slot after that. Also remember at the pub 4 years later after my graduation ceremony you apologizing to me because you didn't think I'd stick by the girl I'd gotten pregnant. Funny as I had know idea what you were thinking. Love you Paul

PEARCE, Edward Philip. Hey Dad - you finally made it into the paper ! It broke our hearts to see our rugby playing, marathon running, bush walking Dad so incapacitated. So go well you cheeky fellow and know we'll look after Mum - no worries. Your kids - Theresa (the favourite), Chris (the favourite), Kevin (the favourite) and Ria (the favourite) along with all your grandkids and great grandkids are going to miss you. We'll miss your Dad jokes, your Xmas cake, your big breakfasts and your big loves. "Rest In Peace Dad."
