Edward MCQUILLAN Obituary
McQUILLAN, Edward Joseph (Eddie). 19 December 1946 to 25 June 2025 Passed away peacefully in Dunedin after a short illness, aged 78. Formerly of Tasman Village, Morrinsville. Beloved husband of the late Patricia McQuillan. Cherished father of Nicholas and Barry, and father-in-law of Antoinette and Djarne. Proud grandfather to Aimee, Holly, Conor, Brialey and Ethan. Dear brother of the late Bruce and of Malcolm, brother-in- law to Diane and Paul. Eddie served his country with honour in the Royal New Zealand Navy and the New Zealand Fire Service. A private memorial service will be held at a later. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Dunedin Hospital for their dedicated care and compassion. Eddie was a member of the Morrinsville Bowling Club. He was a lovely gentleman who will be missed by us all. To his family, I am sure you have many lovely memories of Eddie that you will treasure for ever.

Very sorry to hear this news. I had the pleasure of working with Eddie for many years and he was a delightful person who could connect with people of all ages and all walks of life. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
