Edward MARSH Obituary

MARSH, Edward Francis (Ted). QSM. M.Soc.Sci. Born 8 July 1928 - died August 18 2021. At peace with his beloved wife Kath and son Paul. Leaving much loved children Anne, John, Michael and Marama. The respective families of all his children are the better for having been known and loved by him. We celebrate his life of service, love and creativity. Ted was an inspiration to all, teacher to many, and colleague to those in the Police and Psychology professions. Cremated on August 20, a memorial service to follow (post lockdown restrictions).

Just read the death of my cousin Edward, my condolences to his family. We lived miles apart but for many years corresponded and he helped with the family tree. I had the pleasure of meeting him only once. His mother and my father were brother and sister. R.I.P.

My deepest sympathy to all the family with the passing of the last of the previous generation. Uncle Ted was special to me and Eddie and I treasure the memories of all the visits we had with him and Aunty Kath. I thank him for working so hard on the genealogical history and am pleased that together we could arrange for the installation of the Hagans' plaque in Purewa Cemetery. I will remember him as a man of special humour with a knack for telling a story, and who was always a pleasure to hang out with. a clever and talented man.
