Edward HEMARA Obituary

HEMARA, Edward Toka. Eddie Hemara peacefully passed away in the early hours of the morning on Saturday 22nd March 2025 surrounded by family. He was aged 78. Much loved son of Toka and Parani (both deceased) and brother of Lofty (deceased), Pearson (deceased), Hoori (deceased) and twin sister Wiki. Dearly loved partner of Sharon. Much loved father of Son and Brian (Guv) whom he shared with Mary and much- loved father of Harley, Myra and Jessy whom he shared with Jill. Loved father in law of Mike. Loved Pop-pop of Piko, Kawana, Moea, Toka, Chloe, Darcy, Cochise and Jada. Always in our hearts. The funeral service for Eddie will be held on Wednesday 26 March at 12:30pm at Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson, Auckland. Followed by interment within the Urupa Area at Waikumete Cemetery at 2pm.

Eddie came to our service at EDARS Waitakere Hospital for a short time. I am sad to hear of his passing. RIP, Eddie. Keep playing that good music.

I worked with Eddie at the "The Money Factory" he was such a nice guy with an amazing smile and laugh! So sad to see the news of his passing, condolences to the Hemara whanau.
