Our Sincere Condolences to you Barb and all the family. It is so sad to hear of Eddie's passing he was such a very special person to all of us on Herald Island and all that knew him. We think of all the wonderful things he did in the Community and people he has helped for decades when he was a resident there. He was our children's santa for many years and when help was needed and as an ex Herald Island firefighter on the island in civil defence or an emergency he would not hesitate to be there to assist.We knew his lovely hard working parents who ran the local dairy on the island too.Our family and friends remember Eddie well with respect and great fondness so much that when he wore his pith helmet, thought of him as the Mayor of Herald Island. Rest in Peace Eddie & Much Alofas from the Gillon Fanau. xox

Very sad to read of Eddies passing, I have many childhood memories of growing up and going to school in Hikuai with Lorna and Eddie and with time spent at their home on the old 'Opal mine farm'.

Condolences. I remember when Eddie joined us at school in Warkworth, I have thought of him every time I pass their driveway and house.
I've spent a fair amount of time in Scotland over the years.

GRASSICK, Edward Redford (Eddie). Passed away peacefully at home on the 30th July 2024 aged 76. Dearly loved son of the late Eddie and Bunty Grassick, Loving brother of Lorna and uncle to Daniel and his family. Forever in our hearts.
