SLAVEN, David Charles. 20 November 1958 - 26 February 2026 Beloved partner of Jolene, much loved son of John and Shirley (deceased), dearest brother of Chris (deceased) Margaret and Kevin. "Fun Uncle" to 11 nieces and nephews. Passionate ecologist and lover of nature. Always looked on the bright side of life. Blue Skies in eternity Dave. A celebration of his life will be held in Forrest Funerals, 8 Glen Road, Browns Bay, Auckland, on Thursday 5th March 2026 at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to projectkiwi.org.nz

Dave.
It was so great to see you the other week man!

We never got to see much of each other over the years and I always enjoyed every time that we did.
I will always be thankful of and cherish our last moments together.
Rest easy mate.

To, Jolene,Uncle John, the spirit of Aunty Shirley and Chris, Margaret, Kevin and all members of the collective Holt and Slaven families.
We are so sorry that we can't be with you today, but our thoughts are of you all and we offer our sincere condolences for your loss.
Enjoy in the celebration of his life as you farewell his physical presence and may he always live on in your hearts and thoughts.
