Dylan PIDGEON Obituary

PIDGEON, Dylan John Bernard. Born June 02, 1993. Passed away on January 13, 2018 tragically at home while struggling with mental health, aged 24. Much loved son of Roseanne and stepdad Terry Coombs. Loved by father Brett (deceased), adored by brothers Robert and Jesse, partners Stacey and Rose, Grandma Jo and Granddad Tony (deceased), Auntie Rachael, Uncle Mark and Ruby. We would like to thank all family and friends who came to celebrate Dylan's life, Hawaii style. To the team at the Piha Bowling Club and the Piha Board Riders who gave Dylan such a send-off. To the Kaumatua for their blessings and support. To Fran and Kerry-Ann of State of Grace for their compassion throughout the week, both at the funeral home and the service. Finally to those who donated to Middlemore Mental Health Unit. Look for the brightest star in the sky; that will be Dylan with his cheeky smile. Ske! Ske! Ske! [email protected]

Pidgeon was the First 11 boys goalie when I went to HHS. From the First day I met him he was so nice and welcoming to me and my younger cousin alex who had just joined the team. He was a Legendary character, always smiling and being a joy to be around and brought the hype to every hockey match he played.

Dylan, I will always remember you as the dude that was chilled out and had nothing bad to say about anyone. My fondest memories of us was going for skate mishs around town or surfing the bar on big days.
Thanks for the memories I will cherish these forever, I hope there is a halfpipe or some waves wherever you are.

One love bro.

So sorry to hear of Dylan's passing. He was friends with our sons and was often at our house throughout his teenage years.
Our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

I will always remember Dylan as the real laid back, good vibe kind of guy, but also the kind of guy that will suit up into field hockey goalie gear if needed. And he did, and he saved a lot of goals down on hockey tournament! The last time I saw Dylan, we had to share a two seat couch, sleeping sitting up. It was one of the most uncomfortable sleeps of my life, but I'm glad I'll always have that memory I shared with him. We will miss you Dylan, rest in piece.
