Dearest Auntie Helen, Malcolm, Alister and families. Thinking of you all and sending much love at this time. I feel so lucky to be part of your wider family as there is always a warm welcome.
One of my earliest recollections of Uncle Duncan was many years ago when he lived at 209 Naenae Road. I was fascinated by a model of an outrigger canoe he showed me (I think he had brought it back from Fiji?).
A talented engineer - whenever we venture north on S.H.1 along the Kapiti Coast, we always comment on the bridge Uncle Duncan designed.
Years later at our wedding, the Morrison boys were up to their mischievous selves! They decided, an untouched ham was definitely not going to be left at the venue so they hatched a plan to throw it from the first floor balcony. Uncle Duncan was the "catcher", but if I remember correctly he dropped it! Needless to say Ngaire was absolutely horrified by their antics.
God bless you, Duncan. Rest in Peace. Love Gill xx

Duncan sorry to not be there to farewell you. You went too soon and not in the right order or family sequence.
My earliest memory of Duncan was looking after him in Dunedin when Mum and Bob went out. He had wet his nappies and I changed them. I was probably 5 or 6 at the time. Bob was really worried that I may have pinned your nappies in an inappropriate place. We were always on the move Wellington, Whanganui, Auckland, Gisborne and then back to Wellington. You were always my younger brother until the others arrived. You were always the responsible brother quieter than the others, You succeeded at what you did. As adults we knew where you were and reconnected at family functions and events.
Farewell Duncan. My thoughts are with Helen and your family.
