Dudley was my lecturer in the difficult ACA subject of auditing back in the 1970s. In my small class we all greatly appreciated Dudleys down-to-earth style. After completing my ACA i later completed a graduate diploma at Waikato Uni.

I first met you Dudley in 1979. You cajoled me, in that diplomatic but pressing way of yours, to climb into the world of committees. To me for years you were Mister St. Peters Tennis Club. No-one compared. I always looked forward to the role playing you and the late great Ian Beattie acted out at AGM's. You and Margaret, with that twinkle in her eye, were a lovely couple. Deeply saddened. Rest in Peace, Dudley.

Sad to read of Dudley´s passing. He was a well-respected friend of my father Bob Aitken and I remember he and Margaret´s many visits. I was also a student of Dudley when I was studying for my ACA qualification. A true gentleman.

Dudley Ayo was the heart and soul of St Peter´s Tennis Club in Hamilton. As Club President, his leadership was pivotal in the Club´s growth, ensuring it thrived. His passion for tennis and the Club was unwavering, only exceeded by his deep love for his beautiful Margaret and his family. A true gentleman in every sense, Dudley´s kindness, wisdom, and dedication left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the friendships, memories, and strong foundation he built for the Club he cherished so much. Ken Williamson
