Douglas TRIGG Obituary

TRIGG, Douglas John (Doug). Died in Whangarei Hospital age 94 on 4 November 2025 Loved husband of Cynthia (deceased). Loved dad of Christine, Sherrill, Leslie, Vicki and Brian and his 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In accordance with Doug's wishes he has had a private cremation.

Arohanui to you and your whanau Lesley. Doug Trigg was a legend to us here in Te Rawhiti - My grandfather Walter, was very fond of Doug...they also had a connection through Cynthia, who was from the Kawakawa area, and Gramps worked with her father at AFFCO...over 100 years ago. Doug put in all the bores in around Rawhiti. Some of us witnessed his divining magic and still speak of him with fondness today- although we are few in number now! I also remember his green launch that used to be moored at Whiorau, below his campsite. Precious memories ...with love, Anya Mountain-Hook
