Ernest Neale Obituary

Ernest Neale 1929 - 2017 With sad hearts, we announce Ernie's passing at the North Shore Hospice. Janette, his wife of 63 years, and two daughters were by his side. Ernie was predeceased by his parents and 7 siblings.

Born in Battleford, Saskatchewan, he was a quiet man, dedicated to his family, his career in the building trades and his pastimes. He enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, stamp collecting, bowling, old cars and hockey. Ernie was past president of the Building Inspectors Association of BC and the treasurer of the RVO Association of BC. He was known for his thrift, precision and his methodical approach to projects. His tape measure was always in his pocket.

Ernie is survived by his wife Janette, daughters Christine, Elizabeth, Patricia, Joanne, his grandchildren and his extended family.

A casual afternoon gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home on Sunday, July 23 from 2-4:30.

If you wish, a donation in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
