We were so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. In 2013, we had the pleasure of meeting Diane and Doug, and sharing several weeks travelling as a group through Europe. Doug had such a great sense of humour and was the star of a very memorable evening in celebration of Diane, Ray and my sister Suzanne's birthday. His gentle manner, quick wit and kindness will always be remembered.
Our deepest sympathy to Diane and family.

To Bill, Diane and family. Our deepest sympathy to you all from the Fulton family. We first met the Morland family when we lived in New Windsor. Doug was sport mad, especially for cricket, and received every encouragement from his parents. We witnessed his growing up, marrying Diane and becoming the father of Michelle and Glen. Always remembered. Bob, Jan, Sandra and David

I am unsure if this is the Doug Morland who taught at East Tamaki primary school in the 1960s. If so then I remember him as an influential n inspirational teacher in my standard 1 and standard 2 years. Mr Morland took a particular interest in me and helped reassure and settle me into his class. He was so kind and understanding n I attribute my wanting to become a teacher from those early seeds planted in my life. Thanks Mr Morland. Your memory lives on. You influenced the direction of my life. Rest in peace.
