Douglas MCDONALD Obituary

MCDONALD, Douglas (Doug). On 4 July 2025. Most precious husband and best friend of Patricia for 58 years. Dearly loved father of Lyndon and Andrea, father in-law of Janine and beloved, fun-loving Poppa of Jaimie and Danielle. Doug had a long and rewarding career with Air New Zealand from soon after his arrival in New Zealand in 1965 until his early retirement in 1998. He worked with wonderful colleagues, met many special people and made lasting friendships during that time. Dementia robbed him of so very much, but never of his loving ways and sense of humour. We will love you and miss you "till a' the seas gang dry". In accordance with Doug's wishes, a private family cremation has taken place. Our grateful thanks to the staff of the Special Care Unit at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village for their wonderful care of Douglas.
