Georgina, Hamish and Abbey, I feel for you all right now. Your Dad was a brilliant nurse who taught me lots. But we also laughed, drank too much and had fun. That's how I'll remember Doug.
Wish I could be there, WA is just too far. I'll be home for good next year if you want to catch up. Much aroha to you all. Chris XXX

Sending condolences to the whanau at this sad time. I knew Doug in a work capacity and valued his experience. He always spoke so lovingly of his children and I remember his stories at work about Sid the dog. Every day is a blessing. x

Love and thoughts to Doug's family at this sad time. Doug and I worked together for 5 years in the local Mental Health Crisis Team. He was keenly intelligent, and while our work meant a lot to him, it was his family he spoke most about. He was funny and great to work with, he will be sorely missed.
