HOPKINS, Doug. ODE TO HOPPY A bear of a man, with twinkling eye, you had a heart of gold. That sense of humor... wicked still, Yet such a humble soul. We never dreamed the day would come, With all your strength and pride, It broke the hearts Of everyone, The day that Hoppy died. A simple man of simple fare, Red wine in your hand. Jandals, T shirt, footy shorts, You lead a merry band. Are we..... a superstitious lot? I saw how grown men cried, Black Friday May 13 it was, The day that Hoppy died. We miss you Hoppy Wayne and Tina Sean and Lelah Sullivan
