Douglas FLINT Obituary

FLINT, Douglas Robert. Suddenly at home, aged 69 years. Dearly loved youngest son of the late Violet and Jack Flint of Hamilton. Brother and brother-in-law of John and Norma, Ray and Sandra, Richard and Jill, Arthur and Liz. Fond Uncle Doug of 10, and great-uncle of 14. Always cheerful, Doug will be sadly missed. A private cremation has been held and a Memorial Service will take place at Grange Manor, Davis Funerals, 400 Dominion Road, Mt Eden, Auckland on Friday, 5 January at 1:30pm. My sympathies to Doug's family at this sad time.
I have fond memories of Doug. He was my first boyfriend way back in the late 1960's in Hamilton. We shared fun times with friends including my brother Gary.
My thoughts are with you.

FLINT, Douglas Robert. The Executive and members of the Eden Epsom Tennis and Squash Club extends its deepest sympathy to the family of the late Doug Flint. Doug was a National referee, Life Member, a great friend, and tireless worker for the club..world champions and beginner players will remember being refereed by "Flinty" but alas Doug has marked his last game and left the court. It is a sad day for the club but in typical sports club fashion Doug will be remembered with fondness and a smile by thousands of squash players for many years to come. Rest in Peace Doug. The Eden Epsom Club will be open to you all after the memorial service to gather and reflect on Doug's life.
