POUND, Dorothy Elizabeth Cecelia (nee Ollson). Born 09 June 1916. Died 17 June 2011. Passed away peacefully in sleep. Devoted wife of Thomas Brian Pound (deceased). Loved mother of Margaret-Mary Crawford (Auckland), Anne Clydesdale (Melbourne), Dorothy Jurie (deceased), Tom Pound (Auckland), Phillip Pound (Wellington). Loved grandmother of Justine and Samantha; Todd and Vanessa; Raymond and Miranda; Melanie and Jemma; Camille, Brendon and Shaun. Loved great-grandmother of Dylan, Ryan, Amanda and Brooke; Anais, Caesar and Rex; Alexander and Harrison; and Madison. Great-great grandmother of April; Mother- in-law of Neil Crawford, Ian Clydesdale, Ray Jurie, Pamela Pound and Victoria Clay. Goodbye for now mum, wishing you everlasting life. We will miss your quick wit and extraordinary zest for life. Much love always from your daughter Anne, son-in-law Ian and granddaughters Justine and Samantha. A funeral will be held at The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 24 Hill Street, Thorndon, Wellington on Thursday June 23 at 12 midday. In lieu of flowers donations to Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington.

Wellington Pounds visits to Putaruru... great memories …Dorothy lining up your troupes for morning inspection and threatening the unruly and unkempt Geary’s with the same fate …loved you …Can see you now chasing Jack out of the throne room …attending the alter…and listen to those heavenly songs! …My deepest love to all the family and extended family and the generations of the larger Pound family today...as we remember someone dear to us all ...

Dot, you were a guardian angel when we were littlies, a welcoming aunt as we grew up and a source of joyful music. You brought some great cousins into our lives :) We are grateful.

POUND, Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Ollson). Peacefully at home on Friday 17th June 2011, aged 95 years. Loved wife of the late Brian Pound. Loving mother of Margaret-Mary. Mother-in- law of Neil. Grandmother of Todd, Vanessa, and Andrew. Great grandmother of Alexander and Harrison. Sadly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice, 48 Mein Street, Newtown, Wellington.
