Dorothy was such a lovely person. In my mind's eye I can see her wonderful smile and her head thrown back with laughter. Mary and I always left from a visit with Dorothy and Bob feeling happy. A sad loss. Thinking of you all and sending condolences from Auckland. Love, Robin Nicole

My condolences to you all. Dorothy and Bob have been part of my life forever and my memories of them are precious. Fraser and I shared many a birthday at Wairere, and amongst Dorothys many talents was an ability to make the most enormous sponge cakes. Xxx Philippa Durrant

It was my pleasure as a young boy to join Taihaoe Art Society under the directorship of Marin Rostenberg. Dorothy was a huge influence on my work. She encouraged me and made me feel welcome. I loved her work and looked forward to our weekly meeting . My deepest sympathy to the family.
