Please accept condolences from my two sisters and myself. We knew Mrs Joy Bedggood all our lives. She was a good and kind neighbour to our parents and to us as children and as adults. We remember Joy with great fondness. May you rest in peace, Mrs Bedggood.

For a loving supportive person In my life as a small child. I spent many hours at the Bedggood home playing. Looking back now as an older adult - what I saw as a child was a fun time communicating with the neighbours. A few years ago I caught up with Joy, Merrylands and Shirley. Joy said to me, "do you remember I used to babysit you". I was confused. Memories of my free, wonderful but at times anxious childhood made me e search my memories. My dad´s times of illness in hospital and recovery meant the Waikato community wrapped their love and support around our family. People stayed in the school house with me, I continued to play with friends and wonderful people like Joy came and good over dads job as headmaster, which was through the hedge from my home. Thank you Waimate North for the wonderful memories and thank you Joy for enriching my childhood.
