So very sad to hear of Don's passing today when I got back from work. My wife & I moved into his former Sandringham digs 20 years ago this month. We thought of him more as a kindly uncle than as a landlord. He fixed things (anything!) with a smile on his face and always a kind thought for my little family. He shared many of our milestones over the years, including the birth of our two girls, their first day at school... all the way to their eventual attendance at University last year. Some ten years ago, I can still picture him perched precariously at the top our backyard plum tree trimming the top branches, his tall lanky frame swaying in wind, him fearless and whistling a tune with reckless abandon. Rest easy, Big Man, you'll be sorely missed.

In memory of a wonderful person & the great times we shared. Don was part of our Dockyard group & we all had common interests like Sailing & Music. Don had a great voice, accompanied by his guitar, singing all the Hit songs of the 50's at parties & special celebrations. His memories will be with me forever. RIP "You old Rocker"

Don was one of natures true gentlemen. We became mates as teenagers working at the Devonport dockyard. His talent for music brought us together for sometimes just playing music in the backyard on the weekend to endless parties through the year.Don was a thoughtful & kind man who will always be in our memories. Rest In Peace my very good friend & I am sure you will get their feet tapping in heaven!
