Donald MUNDELL Obituary

MUNDELL, Donald Arthur (Don). On 12 July 2012, suddenly while watching TV at home, aged 77. Dearly loved husband of the late Jenny. Much loved father of Kim, Simon and Andrew. Adored Grandfather of Casey, Charli and Ashlee. Wonderful father in law of Steve and Filipa. A mentor and friend to many in tourism and yachting. A service to celebrate Don's life will be held at the North Shore Memorial Park Crematorium Chapel, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Wednesday 25 July 2012 at 11.30am. I always enjoyed Don's ascerbic and astute comments. He kept us grounded and was one of the true professionals in this (at times flakey) business. He is much missed.

I knew Don for only a realtively short time through our association at Hibiscus Coast hospice but in that time I learned of his involvement in the development of NZ tourism, an early pioneer in coach tours and cruises that created a legacy of which he and his family can feel justly proud
