Donald MOORCROFT Obituary
Donald Ross Moorcroft
Born in Toronto in 1935, Don
died at home in London, Ontario
on January 14, 2015, after a long
struggle with cancer. He is sorely
missed by his wife, Regine, his
children, Marc, Annemarie
(Mischa), Cecilia (Mike) and his
adapted family, Gordon, Peggy
(Larry) and Carol.
Don lived a rich and vibrant life
He was intensely interested in
everything. His intellectual and
working life was dominated by
his love of physics and he spent
37 years as a loved and
respected physics professor at
the University of Western
Ontario.
In his private life, he was deeply
involved with music, becoming a
keen and accomplished amateur
musician. After looking at art
and architecture all his life he
discovered his artistic side as a
photographer after retirement.
In nature, he loved birds,
mountains and his property on
Manitoulin Island most.
