Donald EVANS Obituary

EVANS, Donald William Vryn. On 17th September 2013 at his home, in his 85th year."To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord" Don is pleased this day has finally arrived. Family and friends are mourning and will miss their larger than life Patriarch. He was "not your ordinary bloke". Loved husband of the late Kath. Dearly loved father of Paul, Valerie, Neil and David and father in law of Janice and Ngaire. Poppy of Shaan and Zara, Aidan, Kenneth and Grace, Nathan and Katherine, Melissa and Logan, Michael and Shayna, Amanda and Peter, Andrew, Nathan, Joshua and Rachelle. Great Poppy of Kaytana and Asic, Kaezar, David, Olivia, Ryker and Buffy, Isaac and Gemma, and Trae. A celebration of Don's life will be held at Windsor Park Baptist 550 East Coast Road Mairangi Bay at 10.00am on Monday 23 September.

Don,
I will miss our Friday night get togethers where we talked about anything and everything. You were a wonderful neighbour and good friend to our family. We will miss you heaps and thank you for the wonderful memories and time spent together. Our neightbourhood dinners will not be the same without you. We will always remember you and rest in peace.
