Donald BUSH Obituary
BUSH, Donald George. On January 5, 2013 peacefully at Hillview Rest Home, Te Kuiti surrounded by his wife and family. Dearly loved husband of Maureen and loved father and father-in-law of Trevor and Julie (New Plymouth), Christine (Hazel) (Te Awamutu), Bruce and Karen (Otorohanga), and Ian (Australia). Grandad to Jenny, Robert, Carol, Jocelyn, and Sarah, Dianne, Evan, Troy, Christopher, Lauren, and great-grandad of Cameron, Hayley, Aaron, Luke, Marley, and Elijah. In his 82nd year. Now at peace. A Funeral Service for Don will be held on Wednesday 9 January at 11am at St Davids Presbyterian Church, Otorohanga, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Otorohanga St John Ambulance would be appreciated and can be left at the Church. In the care of V J Williams & Sons

When I was a baby in 1945 Don was working for us on our dairy farm on McCready Road, Otorohanga. I believe he was known to change my nappies on some occasions.
One incident I remember was when he was burning rubbish, the fire took off through the neighbours pine trees. They were well established trees so the next few weeks were spent cutting and cleaning up the ruined trees and replanting for the neighbours.
We loved your sense of humour Don and you leave us with some great memories.
Our thoughts are with you Maureen and your family.
