BINNEY, Donald Hall. In memory of a wise and gracious benefactor for the environment. Don used his creative energy to change the way New Zealanders feel about our coastline, marine environment, forest and bird life as well as sharing his insight into the importance of our urban heritage. His advocacy for conservation has left a great legacy. We have lost a friend and supporter who will long be remembered for his enormous passion for people and nature. BINNEY, Donald Hall. In loving memory of our inspirational Patron and dear friend whose ethos to us as an ornithologist and as a painter, guided us in all we do. As Don has said "You must approach the landscape or the bush with reverence. To my mind, loyalty to New Zealand doesn't consist in conforming to conventional expectations, but in acquiescing to beings like the forest god Tane". Forever in our hearts and minds. The Trustees, Associate Trustees and supporters of the Little Barrier Island (Hauturu) Supporters Trust.
