I first met Don when he became my coach at Te Atatu Rugby League. We got on well and became good friends long after football.
Our families shared some good times together and Don became a lifelong friend.
You will never be forgotten Don. Rest well dear friend.

Dear Scott & Dene, just heard about your Dad. He was a great man and a Rugby League Legend. When I was 16 my Dad arranged for me and Peter Dunn to have an hour´s tackling practice with Donny at Neil Ave, Te Atatu - never been hit by anything harder in my life. He was a Te Atatu Roosters Legend too. All the best guys - your Dad was top drawer. Gib (Jr)
