FRANCESCANGELI, Dina

Dina Francescangeli passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Chartwell Eau Claire Retirement Residence in Calgary, AB. She was born in Antrodoco, Rieti, Italy and came to Calgary in 1954. Dina had a gentle soul and warm heart. She was predeceased by her husband Cesare Francescangeli, her oldest son Luigi Francescangeli and her older brother Giacobbe Paulucci. Dina will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughter Pia (Daniel) Gray and their children Christina, Bernadette, Michael and Thomas; son Marino and his children Nicholas, Lisa and Ryan; and youngest daughter Linda (Tim) Louie and their son Christopher. Dina is also survived by her brother Domenico Ciavarelli. Besides raising four children, Dina also loved and cared for a dog (Fifi), a cat, four budgies and a rabbit. While having a house full of children and animals, Dina also ran an alterations business at home. Later on she worked at Holt Renfrew and The Bay (downtown) as a seamstress, as well as the Calgary General Hospital and Sarcee Nursing Home. During her retirement years Dina enjoyed visiting and playing Skip- bo with her friends. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service.
