KOUWENHOVEN, Dick Maria Joseph Joachim. Sadly on Thursday 23 December 2021, aged 90 years. Much loved husband of Narda, and loving opa, grand-opa and great-grandopa. A celebration of Dick's life will be held in the Fountains Memorial Chapel, 35 Wood Street Papakura, on Wednesday 29 December at 11.00am. Please note this is a fully vaccinated event.

I worked with Dick when he was involved in social services at Manukau City Council. I remember his genuine concern for the less well-off and those affected by emergency crises.

My thoughts are with Narda and the family on this sad occasion. I have lovely memories of happy times as a teenager spent at the house. Dick & Narda were always welcoming and there was lots of happiness, laughter and love! Dick had a great presence and charisma but I remember his lovely smile the most.
He will be in your hearts forever. Sending my love and thoughts to the family, Diane.
