Have just learned of Di's passing and am still in shock. Our friendship spanned more than 60 years and included being students at Massey, her 21st, buying a house in the same street in Khandallah as her parents, living in Waikanae where they had a holiday home, spending a night at Ohura on Honeymoon, staying with Di at Jo's campground & several visits by Di in her camper van when she was in Taranaki. She was a generous loyal fun-loving friend and will be missed by so many. RIP Diana. You were one of the best!

I have known Diana since she started school at QMC. I have always admired Diana's way of managing life's challenges. She could see the funny side of things and never seemed to get too ruffled over circumstances. She took things in her stride. A generous capable person, who will be dearly missed by her family.
Farewell to my old ballet buddy, thank you Di for your friendship

So many happy memories and adventures with the Tompkins family in Ohura. Once Spud caught a trout before breakfast and Di served up home grown strawberries, ice cream and trout for breakfast. Never forgotten! Scrub cutting, goat shooting and later trapping when they became valuable, helping at shearing, controlled burning down the woodshed and so many other experiences and memories. Di will be missed but treasured by friends and family. Our love to the family. Spud and Janette Gerritsen, John, Stuart and Anna
