Diana MACAULAY Obituary

MACAULAY, Diana Barbara. On December 14, 2025 in her sleep at Selwyn Village after a long battle with Parkinson's Dementia. Born July 15, 1950. Trusted partner and loving wife to Peter for 57 years. Sister to Mary (died 1977) and Andrew. Sister-in-law to Fiona, and Libby. Mum to Rachel, Matthew (died 1999) and Ben. Nana Dido to Joshua and Isabella. Much loved Aunty Di to Sarah and Emma, Hannah, Josephine, and Francesca, Chris, Louise, and Nick. Everyone was her neighbour. Di was a model of compassion and generosity, equipped with "radar" and amazing people skills. Thank you, the delightful care team, at the Ivan Ward Centre. Diana's room at the Ivan Ward Centre was next to Gillian's, so the neighbors saw each other often. Gillian became very fond of Diana for her sensitivity, her intelligence, her perceptive sense of humor, and for her amazing courage. Gillian and I miss this special person very much.
