Diana HANDLEY Obituary

HANDLEY, Diana Margaret (nee Wilson) (formerly Aickin and formerly Blankley). Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle on 10th July 2017. Much loved mother of Stephanie and Mark Edgar (London) and Catherine (Bunty) and Peter Higgs. Treasured Nana of Samantha, Timothy, Antonia and Briarna. Dearly loved sister of John and Lyn Wilson and the late Elsie Burrell. Diana's service will be held at The North Harbour Chapel of Dils Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Saturday 15th July at 12.30pm. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to North Shore Hospice Trust Po Box 331129 Takapuna 0740.

Diana you were my first neighbour when I came to NZ 47 years ago. You epitomise all the good qualities I found in New Zealanders- kindness, generosity, loyalty and hospitality to name a few. Over the years you were unchanged, except you became better looking! (What was that secret?) Your cooking, well it was mouth watering, and I decided that to bake like that one had to be born a Kiwi.
DIana I will miss you and was so sorry to be away at the end. I will be around for your family though.

Diana you were my beautiful friend and ex neighbour of the Cuttle family of Bannings Way. What an amasing cook, gardener and lover of cats I will remember our catchups always. Heart felt thoughts and what a courageous fight. Love Lesley, Murray, Tresna and Brogan Cuttle xx
