My deepest sympathies go to Bob and family at this very sad time. Diana was a stalwart and passionate supporter of the arts in New Zealand and so so much to support the sector. Diana will be greatly missed. RIP

With sadness we say goodbye to such a beautiful lady both on the inside and outside. I will remember fondly our many chats. I was privileged to know you personally and as your nurse. The Trustees of the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation (UK) are all saddened at the loss of a much admired and loved, Chair of the NZ Foundation. Diana´s leadership over the decades clearly defined the objectives set out by Dame Kiri, and we know she took such pride in the lives and careers of so many young people enhanced through the Foundation´s support. Our thoughts are with Diana´s family and with you all at this time. Nicholas Payne, and the UK Trustees,

Dear Diana,
We first met during my time at the Auckland Philharmonia. You were always so very kind, welcoming and generous to me. Your considerations and contributions to Auckland and the arts scene in general will be sorely missed.
Sometimes the words 'thank you' seem utterly inadequate to convey the measure and impact of your gracious support. Your good work in this realm is done. Rest easy and fly high.

I know Rodney valued Diana's leadership, energy and kindness when he was part of the Kiri te Kanawa Foundation. I saw her more as a kind and supportive friend to myself and to many others. She will be missed. My love and prayers go out to you, Bob, for your journey with loss and grief in the coming days, weeks and months.

We are very sad to lose such a kind and loving friend. We are in Japan and so sorry that we will miss the service to commemorate Diana´s amazing life. She will always be fondly remembered and sorely missed by us - such an elegant, compassionate and thoroughly beautiful person.

FENWICK, Diana QSO. 1938 - 2024. Chair of The Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation (2013 - 2024). We have been so blessed to have had you as a fellow trustee of the Foundation since its inception and as our Chair since 2013. Your practical kindness and your deep love of music and theatre placed you always at the centre of things for a busy Foundation. We profited from your judgement and experience and your boundless sense of responsibility. You were the epitome of what it means to be a 'contributor'. And in our corner of a world that is seldom free of storm and stress, we also appreciated your often wicked sense of humour. Most of all we extend our deepest sympathy on this sad loss to your family. You will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Diana. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Trustees of The Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation.
