Desmond WHITE Obituary

WHITE, Desmond Henry. Peacefully at Halldene Rest Home on 13th December 2023 surrounded by family; aged 96 Years. Loved partner of Berys, and formerly husband of Betty. Much loved Father of Jan and Alan, Neville and Yana, Julie and Ross. Loved Poppa of 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Much loved, never forgotten. Forever in our hearts. Des' interment will be held at Manukau Memorial Gardens, 361 Puhinui Road, Auckland on Thursday 21st December 2023 at 11.00am. Followed by a Memorial Service at Papatoetoe Bible Chapel, 31 Rangitoto Road, Papatoetoe at 1.00pm. To view the livestream, go to jasonmorrison.co.nz/s/des

June Ngamu has fond memories of Des. His excellent bowling skills, his intent on winning the tin of peaches (21 slices he counted), and him cooking sausages in sunlight liquid mistaken for oil. Lots of laughs but also serious competition. Rest in peace Des.
