SHIELDS, Desmond James. Passed away peacefully at Auckland City Hospital on 27 June 2013. Beloved husband of the late Billy, loving father of Jim, Dennis, Debra, and Wayne. Father in law to Carol and Jenni. Grandfather of Tim, Natalie, Kurt and Janell, Adam and Troy, Kain and Luke. Great grandfather to Lilly, Reuben, Jaydan, Sheila, Cheyanne, and Rayner, Aria and Taya. Dad, you will be truly missed. Rest in peace. The entire service will be held in the Main Chapel of the Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson on Tuesday 2 July 2013 at 10.00 am. All communications to Shields family C/- the above Funeral Home.

SHIELDS, Desmond James. Passed away on 27 June 2013. Dearly loved son of the late Dick and Hazel Shields. Loved brother of Richard, Dawn, Dorothy and the late Charles. So sadly missed by us all.

SHIELDS, Desmond James. Passed away peacefully in Auckland hospital on Thursday 27 June 2013; aged 85. Much loved and respected father to Wayne, father in law to Jenni and grandfather to Kain and Luke. A great man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Dad you fought your battle bravely and with dignity right to the very end. You will be sorely missed by us all. Rest in peace. A service will be held at 10am Tuesday, 2 July at the Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson.
