MACARTNEY, Desmond King (Des). (Ex Merchant Navy) ZLIDKM Peacefully on the 12th January, 2016 at Waikato Hospital. Aged 82 yeasrs. Dearly loved husband for 58 years to Bev. Much loved father and father-in-law to Michael and Kristin, Terry and Anna, Wendy and Peter, Denise and Glen. Loved "Grandad" to his grandchildren and "Grandad Des" to his great grandchildren. "Home is the sailor, home from the sea." Donations to Waikato Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for Des will be held at St Pauls Co-Operating Parish Church, Kensington Street, Putaruru on Saturday 16th January, 2016 at 11 a.m. followed by a private cremation.
