Derek WHITTAKER Obituary

Sincere condolences to family and Suburbs RFC. Derek will be fondly remembered as a great friend and the man who transformed Suttonians Rugby Club in Ireland.

Sad to hear of the passing of a true friend, and I am in a state of shock.
I was lucky enough to sit next to and work with Derek 2-ts in Whittaker like the chocolate for a number of years in Markets at ANZ. We would spend many a day solving work problems and then often an hour or so solving world problems at The Vultures with our crew.
Derek was an eccentric character leading a slightly alternative lifestyle to most, he was well read, intelligent, fit and active (making this situation even harder) and a caring sole.
Derek was a great role model for me, he always did the right thing, offering me great advice when I needed it, and he made me feel like I wanted to be a better guy.
Derek you are already deeply missed Good luck fella.
