Dear Colleen,
Reading of Derek's untimely death brought back many good memories of our College days in Taupo, his music, those surfing road trips and that first year away from home at the Waikato Tech Institute in Hamilton. Thinking of you at this time. Our condolences to you and all your family.

Colleen, please accept our deepest condolences for this terrible loss. Derek and I went through Taupo Nui a Tia together many years ago, and it has been so special to have re-established contact again with him over these more recent years. He is and will be missed.
