Derek WEDEKIND Obituary

WEDEKIND, Derek Le Doux. On 17 November 2015 at Grace Joel Hospital. Dearly loved husband of the late Mary, loved father of Andrew, Richard, Emma and the late Edward and David. Father-in- law of Catherine, Sharon and Andy. Loved Grandpa of Sarah, Hannah, Alexander and Elizabeth and Grandpa GG of Harrison, Abigail and Ramona. A service for Derek will be held at the All Souls Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Wednesday 25 November at 11.30am.

Dear Andrew, Richard and Emma, please accept my condoences. I only found out today (9th Dec) of Derek's passing from Partho Ghosh. We had the pleasure of working with Derek at Bakst International. Derek was quite a bit older than us but that never seemed to matter, his ultra dry humour was never too far from the surface. Kind regards David Gordon

Hello Andrew Richard and Emma,

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your loving Dad and one of my oldest friends. I wish I was there to give each of you a hug, but it seems that will not make it to the funeral. Judy is planning to be there as my representative in a way. As I'm sure you know Derek and I were very close in those Round Table days in Timaru. To me he was a gentleman in every way. The three of you exemplify everything that Derek and Mary would have wished. I send all my love and a special hug for my god daughter.
