I have just seen that Derek has passed I was lucky enough to have Derek as my Form/English teacher for 3 years sad news but lovely memories Kia Kaha Derek

Today I miss you so much Dad. You had years more of stories to tell, energy to share and bright conversation. Over 3 years and still I wish you were in this world. I carry you in my heart but I can't lie... I wish I could just hang out with you again xxx

My favourite memory of high school is sitting spellbound for hours listening to Mr. Gordon telling our year the story of the Odyssey from memory. Magical!

Two years ago you were taken from us and still your sweet gentle words echo with love. We miss you.

Dear sweet Bring Wonder, I am so lucky to have met you a few times and we had planned on meeting up, I'm sad life drifted on and this never happened.
You lit my heart with your ways of sharing the magical ancient arts of real storytelling with children and adults alike. I felt such inspiration to keep the magic within myself burning and not to allow it to dull down to much in this modern stuffy world.

GORDON, Derek Ross. Peacefully on September 20th 2018 at Hibiscus Coast Hospice. Much loved friend and ex husband of Barbara, beloved, inspirational father of Corrina, Ceridwyn and Natasha, welcoming father-in- law of Dave and Dean, treasured Starba of Skyla, Melody, Aisling, Cooper and Edie. GORDON, Derek. A much loved and treasured part of Alligator Swamp and its many friends. Among the myriad qualities he shared with us his story telling, gift of the celebration, wisdom, knowledge and love will be hugely missed.
