Derek ATKINSON Obituary

ATKINSON, Derek Colin. Our beloved father, grandad and great-grandad died peacefully on Friday 4 October 2024. We will miss him, but his memory lives on through his grandchildren and great-grandson. May he rest in peace, all our love, Sharon, Declan, Caitlin, Joe, Riona, Calum, Liam and baby Arlo. A service to celebrate Derek's life will be held in the All Souls Chapel, Purewa, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Friday 11 October at 1pm.

Derek, I did enjoy our coffees together (actually a small chai latte for you) up at Murray Halberg café. The little chats, the banter you gave the nursing staff. I will miss those times we had together. You achieved your goal of seeing Baby Arlo for the first time. I'm sorry I can't be at your celebration on Friday. A life well lived. Rest in Peace, Derek.

ATKINSON, Derek Colin. Passed away peacefully 4 October 2024, aged 84 years. Loved brother of Brian, brother-in-law of Chris and loved uncle of Rachael, Roger, Tyler, Keelan and Bianca, Matt, Isabelle, Milly and Daisy. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Murray Halberg Retirement Village.
