van der WAL, Gerardus Franciscus (Gerry). Peacefully at Foxbridge Care Home, Hamilton, on 1 August 2021, aged 97 years. Dearly loved husband of Leila. Loving and caring Dad of Des and Vanessa, Gerald and Sharon, and Chris. Dearly loved Granddad and Opa of Natalie, Freya, Anton, Lucy and Lily. 'He lived a life that we can all admire, full of hardship and joy.' In accordance with Gerry's wishes a private cremation has been held, with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
