SWAIN, Dennis Charles. Veteran of D-Day Combined Operations, Royal Navy. DMX624232. 13 November 1925 - 19 July 2018 Passed away peacefully at Remuera Care Home, aged 92 years. A loyal and loving man with a big heart who was a friend and mentor to many, and an anchor for his family in life's storms. He retained his passion for life and interest in others until the end. Dearly loved husband of the late Raena and beloved partner of the late Rewa. Cherished father of Dionne and Richard, loved "Pop" of Bob and much loved grand- dad of Emily and Charles. Loved and sadly missed brother of Doreen and Cherry (England) and Paulina (USA) and their families. "You leave a big gap in our lives but we carry you in our hearts forever" A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at the Chapel, College of St. John the Evangelist, 202 St. John's Road, Meadowbank on Friday 27th July at 11am.
